What does this mean?
Interpretation of OBD2 Code P0113 Jeep:
Modulerain control module (PCM) controls the temperature of the air entering the engine. PCM supplies 5 volts to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. IAT is a thermistor that varies in resistance to heat transfer. As the temperature rises, the resistance decreases. Heat produces a large amount of electrical energy. When the PCM detects a power output of more than 5 volts, it sets the P0113 Jeep code code light P0113 Jeep.
Possible indicators of OBD code P0113 Jeep
There will be no other signs other than the Influx Lamp (MIL – Check Engine Light / Service Engine Recent).
What may cause the code OBD P0113 Jeep
? Internal IAT activation? Incorrect connection to IAT sensor? Open in IAT area or signal area? Short-circuit power supply for IAT type or circuit breaker? PCM error (possible but not possible)
First of all, if you can use the tool, is there an IAT reading? If the IAT count is reasonable then the problem is shorter. If the reading is less than -30 degrees, remove the connector. Insert the wiring wire between the connector and the ground circuits. The IAT temperature reading on the monitoring equipment should be removed at the end. For example it should be 280 degrees Farenheit or higher. If so, the connection is good, and maybe a connection. If it does not set the wire jump between the IAT track and the chassis ground. If now the IAT reading on the monitoring tools has been released then look at the open in the IAT area below. If you are not reading at all on the monitoring equipment, either the sensor signal is turned on or 5 volts are missing. Check using a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) for 5 volts. If available, disconnect the PCM connector and check to continue the IAT connection between the PCM connector and the IAT connector.
