What does this mean?
Interpretation of OBD2 Code P0442 Lexus:
This indicates the release of oil vapor in the EVAP control system. It means that a smaller output has been detected. Instead, the leak can be from a hole as small as 0.04 ″ in diameter. An exhaust control device (EVAP) prevents the escape of oil vapor from a motor vehicle. The oil column is transported by pipes to the charcoal pin for storage. Later, when the engine operates a purge shut-off valve, it opens the air inlet to release oil vapors into the engine.
